Meat Pen Show Rabbit Ordering:

Why you need to contact a Rabbit Breeder early on.  Rabbit breeders need to prepare by planning the breeding of their
rabbits for your show.  County rabbit shows have specific rules regarding the age as well as minimum and maximum
weights for show day.  In order to provide you rabbits meeting the requirements of the show, it's important for you to
contact a breeder in advance.

Very few breeders will be able to assist you if you wait until a week or two before the validation date before contacting
them.  If they are able to help, keep in mind that your probably getting culls.

The average gestation period for a rabbit doe is between 30 to 32 days.  If for example, the age limit for your show is
70 days, breeding will need to occur approximately 100 days prior to date of rabbit show.

You need to contact a breeder at least 120 days before the show date.  A good meat pen rabbit project doesn't happen
by accident and communication with the breeder is an integral part of your project.

What do breeders need to know from you:

1.  The date of the rabbit show.
2.  The tattoo / validation date.
3.  The age and weight requirements for the show.
